Club Med

Well, friends, it looks as though I have hit the jackpot in terms of finding a career where I can travel. I looked on the FCI job posting board and found several opportunities to travel once I graduate. The one that looks the most interesting is a 6 month stint at a resort in the Bahamas, all expenses paid. Say what?!?!?!

This is the plan:
1. Graduate (6 more months of solitude and self-doubt)
2. Give America a big middle finger and go to France (for a few weeks)
3. Go to resort to work
4. Come back TAN for once in my life
5. Work at wedding cake boutique
And finally, the whole point of being alive:
6. Buy a Boston Terrier and love it for the rest of my days

I got the biggest compliment tonight from my teacher, as he was grading my genoise cake — he said he can’t wait to see what I do when I get to wedding cakes. I can’t wait to get to wedding cakes. Sigh. Food=love.

Lastly, I’m getting training in cheese at work. As most of you know, cheese is probably my first love, so this is very exciting indeed.

Lover, You should’ve come over

I can’t stop playing that Jeff Buckley song. Darn.

I have invited Presley to join jennarator.suckahs.org, so hopefully she will bring some new life to these old web pages.

The captain just got back from Fiji and has brought back a drink that is like a narcotic and has promised me some. Hooray for Fiji. I am in such a boring routine lately that I have been crawling out of my skin, waiting for something to happen. Once school is over, I am planning on going away for a while. In the meantime, I am trying to make a home-made prozac recipe. So far, all I have in it is whiskey. More updates on that once I have perfected it.

Summer Fix

Well, it is that time of year again when the mercury starts shooting up the ol’ thermometer and it always makes me crave summer comfort food. My favorite comfort food: strawberries and dip. Wash it down with some pink lemonade and I feel like I might choke on nostalgia. Even though I hate feeling nostalgiac, I adore strawberry dip. It is so easy to make:

1 large container of Fluff (the plastic container)
1 block of cream cheese

All you do is let the cream cheese get a little bit soft & beat it until it is smooth and creamy. Add all of the fluff & mix until it is light and fluffy. Then, just drizzle it over strawberries. I love it so much, I usually end up spooning it into my mouth. It tastes best when you are unemployed and have nothing to do but go to BBQs and drink beer on your roof, but you’ll enjoy regardless.
