I’ve been missing NYC lately and pining for all the things I can’t get here, but there are things I love about Pennsylvania and wouldn’t be able to have in the city. Zern’s Farmers Market is probably one of my favorite places of all time; it more than a market, it’s a cultural experience. It’s a glorious place with fruits and veggies, vintage dishware, random crap of all kinds and of course specialty vittles like scrapple, fried gizzards, Amish baked goods, and Lebanon bologna.
Our collective love of soft pretzels is another plus in the Pennsylvania column. You can get a sandwich with a pretzel bun…pictured above is my breakfast sandwich. So good!!
My adorable little herb and vegetable garden is also a huge plus. I know that there are community garden spaces, which I am a big fan of, but there is something so nice about having fresh food right in your yard. I can’t wait to harvest everything!Just felt like I had to write something positive about my home, it’s not New York, but that’s part of its charm.
