I’m Jenna Derhammer, Jennarator if you will. I am a grumpy curmudgeon that loves to booze & bake it up. I am a 1:1 ratio of Pennsylvania Dutch & German (no, I’m not Amish & yes, I will take a helping of sauerkraut). I come from the great state of Pennsyltucky and am back after years of being away. I gave the music industry the middle finger many years ago to go back to school to study classic pastry arts at the FCI. Since then, I’ve been a head baker, travelled to Hawthorne Valley farm to learn how to make cheese and lactofermented veggies, went to Crete to learn about olives. Now I am in PA, where I make chocolate.

I love to recipe test and have even gotten a few of my recipes published (something I hope happens more often). I am interested in food history and preserving the grand tradition of baking. I also love knitting, sewing, and the sight of dilapidated barns.
